The Mind’s Eye

This brief article may appear at first glance to have little to do with sales. But a closer look will reveal a natural law that also is applicable to all selling activities. Read carefully and all will become clear to you.

It’s human nature to take something for granted when we did nothing to attain it.

The power of the mind’s eye is one of these things.

It’s something we all have but fail to acknowledge or use to full advantage.

The essence of this creative part of the mind employs an ability to visualize how something could or should be, combined with the willingness and resourcefulness to make it so.

Why is this?

Because when our attention is fixed on what has been or what is, we cannot imagine what could be. And futures belong in the category of “what-if” or “what could be.”

Artists of all types are among those rare individuals who can recognize the value of vision, imagination and intelligent foresight and put to use. And they are also the same ones who end up helping the rest of us attain more than we thought we were capable of.

While they may rise above their fellows, they also bring value to other people’s lives at the same time.

These individuals should be recognized and acknowledged if only for this immeasurable value they bring to the culture for it is such people that have the ability and willingness to breathe life into what is rapidly becoming a dying and dead society.

You’ll find that the power of the mind’s eye is ready when you are.
